Happy Deepavali...........(in advance)

Dipavali – the festival of lights - is round the corner. Having fireworks at home can be great fun, as long as they are used safely. Figures show more children rather than adults get hurt by fireworks. Taking care of few precautions will ensure a safe and happy Dipavali.
Do not buy spurious fireworks. Buy only those manufactured by reputed companies.
Keep fireworks in a closed box. Follow the instructions on each firework.
Light fireworks at arm's length, using a lengthy sparkler/agarbathi (incense stick). Stand well back.

Never experiment; do not make your own firework.
Never put fireworks in your pocket or throw them.
Always supervise children around fireworks.
Light sparklers one at a time. Never give sparklers to a child under five.

Avoid loose clothes……..especially saris while lighting fireworks.
It is not legally permissible to light a firework between 10 PM and 6 AM.
